Teen Excursion Camp

WHAT IS TEEN CAMP? It's a fun filled week of trips and activities. We will be on the go in this excursion based camp, traveling to many of your favorite places in the greater Bay Area. Every day kicks off and ends at the Town of Windsor Community Center (901 Adele Dr.) where we will load up in the Town vans. Check out the camp listings below for each week's line-up! Teen campers tickets, materials fees and transportation are all included. Some spending money may be needed for food and incidentals. Each camper will receive a wristband to be worn during camp activities. Each week there will be different colored wristbands, so see how many you can collect! Parents will receive a full packet the week prior to the start of your camp with paperwork to sign. The Middle School Program Teen Camps are designed to provide a positive social and recreational experience for teens ages 11-14 (6th through 8th grade.) These camps allow teens the opportunity to participate in an excursion based program designed to provide structure that affords them the opportunity to develop a high degree of self-direction and personal responsibility. Teen camp participants are allowed to enjoy the days activities on their own as long as they are with at least one other camper utilizing the buddy system. One staff is assigned per every 14 participants and while campers are allowed to venture off with their "buddies" once arriving at camp destinations, participants are required to check-in with staff at pre-determined locations and times (campers are required to stay in sight of staff at all times when at beach, hiking locations, and some other excursions.) For more information, call the Town of Windsor Parks and Recreation Department at (707) 838-1260.
